Moving abroad has become kind of a trend these days. After completing your HSC or first 3 years of university, you're tempted to go live abroad, seek new adventures, and meet new people. And I commend people who want to explore the world and new cultures. Traveling is great! But what about us, the ones who need to say goodbye to our friends? Well, here's how some of us handle this situation!
All Good
"Top net frer", "Bonne chance", "Soupe". Yeah, these sentences simply describe what I'm trying to portray as "the cool friend". That friend is the one who just doesn't care and saying goodbye is really easy for them.
Batter Lakol
"To pu gagn ene tas zoli mine laba", "Bane dimun la super canon laba". That's the friend who has researched the whole country's females or males to provide you with detailed analytical observations of what you can expect and what your potential reaction will need to be. Also known as the "batter lakol" friend.
Dramatic One
Okay, this friend is the one who feels abandoned and lost without their friend being here. They might go into depression and not talk to anyone for a while. They might even show some signs of anger towards their friend, blaming them for leaving. But in the end, that friend is kind of cool I guess, I hope.
Profiter
"To amene ene zafer pou moa kan to vini", "Pa bliye check bane places pou moa osi." That's the annoying friends who are just looking out for themselves and trying to benefit from the fact that you're moving abroad. They might ask you to help them move abroad with you as well. But in the end, they are friends and a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Real Ones
These friends are the gems. They are truly happy for you and encourage you to achieve your goals. They might even throw a party for you to wish you goodbye. But don't be sad, because you know you two will keep in touch and always be in each other's life. And that's the true friendship.
So, which type of friend are you?
