Should you Swipe Right or Left on Dating Apps?

Online dating, once a myth, is now a mega million business helping people connect with each other and to potentially find love. In Mauritius, a lot of people are adopting this new trend and whether this has been successful remains to be seen. I've used dating apps in the past and this is going to be about my experiences....

Basically, once you log onto one of these, you're bombarded with pictures of people, all with dog ears and tongue (it's not cute) trying to get your attention. The worst part of this is these people think having multiple layers of filters would be okay, I'd never recognize you in real life!

Also, the fact that people choose to put pictures of their pets is interesting. I'm not looking to date a cat, although seeing how people are nowadays, the company of a furry animal would not be so bad.

And dating apps is the home for imposters and perverts who are catfishing you and next thing you know, all the messages got deleted, that profile no longer exists, and you feel worst about yourself. Yikes!

One of the thing I observed the most is people who use dating apps are more likely looking for sex, nothing serious. And so if that's what you're looking for, then congrats, you hit a jackpot! Most of the people online are only swiping right or left to people they want to meet...intimately. Dating apps should really consider re-branding themselves as "sex by the corner" apps. 

The bio section is even worst. All people on online dating apps are funny, adventurous, humble, kind, and gentle. It's like you've found heaven! Come on people, you can't be everything! Stop being that greedy. Okay, one thing I did enjoyed was the variety of choice you get on these apps. It's like going shopping and you can evaluate the price and brand and feel bad about buying something you won't use later on. Except here you evaluate looks, number of abs, whose shirtless pics is the best, and suggestive sexy pictures.

Dating apps has been ruined by people. It started to help socially awkward people (like me) connect and say hi via a device and now its filled with filter-loving, always looking hot people craving sex 24/7. Would I get back into it? Never! But everyone do their own thing, so download the app and start the incredible journey to meeting your soul mate.
